Old Settlers Park Bluebonnet Session | Round Rock, TX Photographer | The Kimura Family

I’m so excited to share this Old Settlers Park Bluebonnet session with you today! When the Kimura Family reached out about Bluebonnet photos, I just couldn’t wait to work with them! There’s something magical about Bluebonnet sessions, isn’t there? Maybe it’s becuase they grace us with their presence for only a fleeting moment each year. Mommy Kimura, wanted to capture a special and unforgettable moment of her children: Cole, Alexis, and Wynter. Seeing how they laughed and played in the Bluebonnets was like seeing the purest form of childhood innocence! I know mom will cherish this session forever and these flowers hold an even deeper meaning now for her and her family!

These kids were very outgoing and ready to jump in front of the camera! We almost had to postpone the session, due to bad rainy weather! Thankfully, I prepare by looking at the forcast and wouldnt you know it the rain was scheduled to stop a couple of hours before the session. I texted mom and gave her two options: Option 1: Do the session (I’m not scared to get a little mud on me) and maybe there won’t be many people in the background because of the rain, downside the kids will probably get muddy. Option 2: Reschedule for better weather. Guess what?! She chose to do the session and I’m SO glad she did! We even saw a rainbow!

Cole, the oldest, was your typical older brother, playfully picking on his little sisters. Most of the time my dads and boys HATE getting in front of the camera but Cole was ready! I asked who wanted to take their picture first and he shouted ME! Alexis, their middle child was so sweet and a little shy. She had the most gorgeous dimples. She was a natural! Lastly the youngest, Wynter, wild and free without a care in the world (well except for when she was going to get her sonic treat lol). I had SO much fun following her around, she hardly wanted to take pictures, but she smiled through the whole thing! I wasnt even worried about her posing because she created the most beautiful images by just being herself!

While we were moving to a different spot at the park that had a mixture of Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrushes, Alexis picked an Indian Paintbrush and put it in her hair and it was SO SO perfect! The pop of color is just what the picture called for and I didn’t even know it! The sweetest thing was her big brother Cole helped her to put it in her hair. Doesn’t that just melt your heart y’all?!

Now it was Wynters turn to take pictures, she was jumpin’ up and down, up and down. Mom trying to get Wynter to settle down, but I was clicking away! *click, click, click* She was so happy and had dangly earrings. She was a joy to capture.

Cole, such a sweet one. I asked mom “ Is there anything you wanted me to get that I missed or didn’t do?” and from behind I hear “LET’S GET ONE WITH MOM!” as a mom of four this absolutely melts my heart! So of course we got one with mom because how could you not after that!

To the Kimura Family, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you! Your family is so sweet, and it was great getting to know you guys better. I can’t wait to see you all continue to grow together!

Enjoy this little peek into this sweet Bluebonnet Session!
