What Easter Looked Like for Me This Year

This Easter was a bit different for me, but it was still a blast! Let me give you a little peek into our family life.

I'm a mom of four awesome kiddos: Catalaya (11), Michael (7), Madelyn (6), and our youngest, Luca, who's just 15 months old right now. We're a blended family—I met my husband and his two little ones back in 2021, and we've been on this crazy ride ever since. We tied the knot in June 2022 and welcomed Luca in December of the same year. Yeah, things moved fast, but when you know, you know!

I juggle two passions: photography and working full-time in the ER. Working in the ER means I sometimes miss out on holidays and weekends with the family, but I've learned so much from it. Yet, it's behind the lens where I find boundless joy, capturing moments that speak volumes.

So, onto our Easter adventure! With my two bonus babies elsewhere this year, my oldest Catalaya opted to hang out with her tia’s (aunts), leaving me, Daddy, and little Luca to celebrate at home. And what a celebration it was!

I woke up super early to hide Easter eggs all over the backyard. After some serious effort, I finally got my husband and Luca out of bed. Luca wasn't too keen on waking up early (just like his mama!), but once he saw those eggs, he was all in. Ready to go with his little basket, he hunted down every last one, earning himself a tasty reward—a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, my personal fave!

Then it was off to work for me—a long 12-hour shift at the ER. Surprisingly, holidays there are not too bad, so I managed to sneak in a FaceTime call with Catalaya. She was over the moon about finding the golden egg and scoring herself five bucks. Ah, to be young and easily impressed!

After my shift, I headed home to my amazing hubby, who always waits up for me. We wrapped up the day watching our favorite show, "Friends," and just enjoying each other's company.

So, there you have it—my Easter was a little different this year, but it was still full of love, laughter, and plenty of chocolatey treats!
