Location Spotlight | University of Texas at Austin | Senior Photographer

It’s time for another location spotlight! Today’s spotlight is all about one of our favorite locations in Austin, TX. This location is STUNNING! If you’re graduating from the University of Texas at Austin you HAVE to take your picture at these iconic locations! I love this spot for so many reasons and I’m so excited to be sharing it with you! Here’s some great spots to take your pictures at the University of Texas at Austin in Ausin, TX!

Location Spotlight | University of Texas at Austin | Austin, TX | Senior Photography

The UT Austin Campus is located right in the heart of Texas in downtown Austin! It is a beautiful campus and is home to the Texas Longhorns! I’m a little biased as I am a Longhorn Fan, HOOK ‘EM! I have lived here my whole life and have been to UT games but now I finally had an excuse to tour the UT campus! There are plenty of iconic spots to get a view of the tower in the background, if you’re a longhorn you cannot leave without at least one picture of the iconic tower, it was strategically placed, so no matter what side of the tower youre on you can get a picture perfect view of it. From Littlefield fountain to Gearing Hall you are guaranteed a gorgeous view of the tower.

This Location was so much fun to scout! I parked at Brazos garage, strapped my 15 month old to my chest and started my journey! First up was the Blanton Museum, its so beautiful and had these tall umbrealla structures (sounds weird but peep the images below)

After the Blanton Museum we trekked our way to the entrance of the UT campus which has a great view of the Tower

Next up Littlefield Fountain - with another amazing view of the Tower

main mall and tower at ut austin

The Main Mall and Tower - unfortunately it and surrounding areas were closed for an event that night (leave it to me to pick an event day).

Battle Halls Iconic Blue/Green door (its different colors depending what picture you look at) was apart of the closeure so I couldnt get a frontal view sadly.

Gearing Hall - This is on the far side of the UT campus that offers a great view of the Tower!

Believe it or not this is the same spot from above only it’s in front of the gate!

moody bridge ut austin

Moody Bridge - I had to stop a student to ask for directions because I could not figure out how to get up here…it’s through the building. The student I encountered was just so sweet to go out of her way to guide me to the bridge. It maybe had something to do with the baby I had strapped to me lol.

This is not an iconic location lol but I just wanted to show what I was fighting through with a baby strapped to me! Easiest way to get a lot of strange looks, bring a baby to college!

University of Texas emblum at the DKR stadium

The Univerisity of Texas emblum at the DKR Stadium - Y’all! I walked for 3 hours at this point lugging around a 30lb baby! I walked to the stadium and couldnt find this emblum! Luckily I saw a UT soccer student, I wish I got her name so I could give her a shout out but sadly I did not. She graciously showed me the way.

This is where I ended my scouting, this was so much fun for me and surprisingly I made it! I thought I was going to have to quit from exhaustion, I definitely did not think I had the stamina for what I completed that day! I cannot wait to share all the images from graduation sessions I had here!
